Attended American Institute of Architect (AIA) Continuing Education workshop: Technical Solution for Guam Contractors and Designers Seminar. Metal building systems presented by Fabral, Phase Change Energy Solutions, Ceco Building Systems, MCR Guam, Allied Pacific Builder, and N.C. Macario & Associates, Inc.

Assigned to a new project that required analysis of an existing mezzanine on the last week of stay as an intern; calculations, analysis, and recommendations were all done independently, but reviewed and approved by supervising structural engineer.

Construction Management:

Reading and familiarity with the requirements of Federal-aid projects, Construction Management & Inspection Services Manual (CMIS) for Dept. of Public Works Guam under FHWA oversight, project contracts, Special Contract Requirements, FP-03, site safety, and overview of Primavera Contract Manager.

Exposure to site supervision, inspection, monitoring, and reporting requirements.

Participated with on-going projects: road widening and resurfacing, and the restoration of a historical bridge.
