PERCENTAGE KIKOClassifi cati on for goats that are various crosses with the Kikos at selected percentage levels.

AMERICAN BOKIClassifi cati on for a specifi c cross between a Fullblood Kiko and a Fullblood Boer. The BoKi is of parti cular interest to owners of Boer goats who are adding Kiko infl uence to their herd.

AMERICAN MEATMAKERClassifi cati on for a unique cross of a Fullblood Kiko and an American Boki. The American Meatmaker has shown excepti onal hardiness and meat producti on under Southeastern United States environmental conditi ons.

INTERNATIONAL MEATMAKERClassifi cati on for a cross of a 15/16th Boer (or higher) and an American Boki.

COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION REGISTRYClassifi cati on for all classes of crosses (including muti ple breeds) intended to develop excepti onal and /or regional meat goats.

KIKO GOATASSOCIATION, INC.

The Internati onal Kiko Goat Associati on (IKGA) was established to preserve and advance the Kiko breed.

The foundati on bloodlines defi ned as the Kiko breed were developed and documented in New Zealand in the 1980’s. The animals used to develop the Kiko breed were nati ve New Zealand goats that exhibited enhanced growth, extreme hardiness and excellent meat producti on under harsh conditi ons. The characteristi cs of a quality Kiko are based on its performance rather than its appearance. The IKGA recognizes these original Kiko goat imports and their direct descendants as “fullblood” Kikos.

IKGAMISSION STATEMENT

The IKGA appreciates the superior characteristi cs of the Kiko breed and the IKGA is dedicated to promoti ng the Kiko goat as the best producti on meat goat in the world. We believe that by working together, we can conti nue to improve the Kiko breed through the use of controlled scienti fi c study and independent performance testi ng.
