    ITINERARY

    DAY 1 ARRIVE AUCKLANDUpon arrival at the Airport, transfer to the hotel by shuttle van.

    DAY 2 AUCKLAND / WAITOMO / ROTORUAGreat Sights GS11AN (seat-in-coach tour 0800/1700)Travel South from Auckland through the rich farmland of the Waikato to the world famous WaitomoGlowworm Caves. Time is available for lunch (at own expense). Enjoy a guided tour through thelong galleries and lofty chambers of the Caves. Continues with a boat ride through the GlowwormGrotto, illuminated by thousands of tiny lights from the glowworms suspended from the caveceiling. Reboard the coach and continue on to Rotorua.

    DAY 3 ROTORUA / TAUPO / ROTORUATaupo Day Tour (seat-in-coach tour 0800/1600)Highlights of the tour: Wai-O-Tapu Geothermal Wonder Park (Lady Knox Geyser, collapsedcraters, mud pools); Aratiatia rapids & lookout (where a serene gorge turns into a raging torrent ofwater rapids); The Aratiatia rapids are controlled by dam gates daily; Wairakei Geothermal Valley

    (A great example of mother earths energy harnessed); Huka Falls (the awesome might of theWaikato River traversing through a natural narrow cause way and plunging 11 metres over the fallsat 160 cubic metres per second); Lake Taupo lookout (a good vantage point to see the impressivesize of this lake, 619sq klms); Taupo town & lakefront (time to relax and have a short stroll alongthe lakefront and shops); passengers have the option of lunch (at own expense) in Taupo thenfinishing their day back to Rotorua via Tongariro River.

Explore Rainbow Springs Nature Park, which showcases native flora and faunaas well as the New Zealand Kiwi. Then see NZ's agricultural industry in action with a sheepshearing display and sheep dog trials at the Agrodome. Follwoing the show you will transfer ontothe Hobbiton Movie Set coach tour and enjoy a scenic drive across the Kaimai Ranges to thepicturesque 1,250 acre farm near Matamata where scenes from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbitmovies were filmed. Learn how this beautiful farmland was transformed into The Shire fromMiddle-earth. Your guide will show you Hobbit holes, the Green Dragon Inn, the Mill and manyother structures from the movies. Upon completion of the Hobbiton Movie Set tour you will betransferred back to Rotorua.

Journey via Hamilton to climb the Bombay Hills arriving back
