A hitherto undetected variable star is BD. +67?1124, whose place for I 855 according to the BD. is : RA. = 19'9~54' Decl. = +67O 214. On two or three' occasions in the early autumn of log A 0.1231 0.1511 this year I was unable to see this star with my 21/4 inch refractor. It must then have been fainter than ~omo, for I could always see with ease a 9m7 star not given in the BD. which lies about 10' to the s. f. of it. Yesterday, how- ever, the niissing object had reappeared and was oms brighter than the star to the s. f. 21 East Claremont Street, Edinburgh, 1897 Nov. 27. Thomas D. Anderson.
