The variable star SS Cygni, 213843, has been under- going remarkable changes during the past month. On Sept. I 5 it had reached a maximum of 8413, of the type known as anomalous. On Oct. 6 it had decreased to IIYO, and on Oct. IZ it was increasing in brightness and of the magni-
