THE NEW ID BY TINA SELLIG Tina Sellig of Stanford U asked the

participant the following: l. What are the uses of I.D 2. What if it was a means of introducing self to others; 3. How would you design the introduction device (the new meaning of I.D)

THE KITCHEN AS TOOL FOR CREATIVITY BY DR. PETER KELLY Using limited resources (and even

“skunking”) new dish (products) are created and the best venue is the kitchen.

“A new dish being discovered by a cook is more beneficial to humanity” than a new star discovery.

The exercise he gave used strawberries, bell pepper, chocolate, ingredients from a ref, to prepare a meal that tastes sweet and salty; what can you prepare?

CONVERSATION MAPPING BY JOHN STAYTON Somewhat similar to Mind Mapping by

Tony Buzan, Concerns are Green Movement; Very much influenced by systemic

thinking of Peter Senge, (Fifth Discipline) Good for integrative thinking covering

diverse stakeholders and ideas; APPs: have a cartolina paper, put a

central idea on the paper, write bubbles and link when possible

CONVERSATION MAPPING CONT’D:

Let other groups look into the paper and write their ideas;

Then look for common themes; Ask somebody to write a paragraph on

the recurrrent theme; Prioritize

TRENDING IN MEGACITIES BY ALSTAIR FREE AND DR. PETER RUSSO The problems confronting the megacities are

large and diverse are looked into; The major trends are listed down: pollution,

traffic, energy, waste removal, landscaping, design, liveabality, health, food supply;

Groups are asked to write down various ideas on each of the above topics, not less than 50;

Top 5 are listed down and specific recommendations/actions are written down.
