WTF Happened to Don Depresso?Is the artist still alive?

Im guessing you found this e-zine through my Don Depresso comics. Im probably giving myself a little too much credit by even entertaining the possibility that youve noticed I havent published any new comics in months, but just in case you do happen to be a hardcore Don Depresso fan whos been obsessively checking the website every day for the new comics I keep promising and not delivering, this e-zine is for you.

Basically, Ive been too tied up with the stressful aspects of real life to make Don Depresso comics lately, but I certainly havent stopped for good! Due to a recent slew of technological

catastrophes, Ive spent so much time freaking out about how Im going to get everything done that I havent had time to, like, actually get anything done.

Anyway, this e-zine is about Neurotic Nicole, not Neurotic Ruji, so Ill stop explaining myself now. Dons been busy because Ive been busy, but were both still alive.

So WTF Happened to Neurotic Nicole?Werent they dating or something?

Well, they... hm. Actually, thats kind of a tough question to answer. Lets take a look back at some of the time Don Depresso and Neurotic Nicole spent together before Neurotic Nicole stopped appearing in the comic.

They started out as tobacco and marijuana smoking buddies and eventually progressed to a symbiotic partnership characterized mainly by the exchange of childhood trauma stories and prescription drugs.

One day, Don woke up and realized that despite his obsession with an ex-girlfriend from two years ago, he was beginning to see Neurotic Nicole a little differently...

Gradually, things happened between them.

Don and Nicole had some differences. Things got confusing for Don.

Neurotic Nicoles Own WordsA Video Message to Don Depresso, Recorded in the Mental HospitalSo anyway, months passed, and no one heard from Neurotic Nicoleuntil she responded to an OKCupid message from fellow pill-popping Polaris fan Heartbroken Hads.

Nicole revealed to Hads that shed been locked in the mental hospital for months but would nevertheless be up for a date. Hads met Nicole at the mental hospital and left with not only a bottle of Xanax but also a mysterious DVD labeled TO: Donalong with instructions to bring the DVD to Don Depresso for her.

The DVD contained this unsettling video.

I just got into the closet where theyre keeping my phone and stuff.

And I read those 16 e-mails that you sent me... and Im sorry we havent been in touch over the past few months.

I guess it all started with a call from the vet confirming my darkest fear: that Rufus tested positive for feline herpes, which sent me

spiraling into a 4-day episode of compulsive coupon-clipping and eventually paranoid psychosis.

Anyway, Don, Im really not in any headspace to answer all of your urgent questions from the last month.

You know, about where our rela-tionship stands, whether I still like you, or if I consider you a clingy emotional vampire com-pletely lacking in sex appeal [Dons words].

I dont know when Ill have the

answers.

Sorry in advance if you waste the rest of your life waiting for me to get out of the loony bin.

Anyway, I gotta go get my morning Xanny bar.
