DAY 02 IN KATHMANDU

Early morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport for flight to Everest Depart Kathmandu for Everest Flight

Flights will take off from Kathmandu in the early morning for an hour of spectacular mountain scenery. As the aircraft lifts up and heads towards the East, you will not have to wait too long to find out what's in store - there they are; the tallest mountains in the world! Only awe-stricken silence can come close to matching the experience of going on a mountain flight to encounter the tallest mountains of this earth. These flights offer a panoramic view of the Himalayas in just one hour. Even those visitors who like the rigours of a trek still don't miss the opportunity to "conquer" the mountains in one fell swoop.

Briefing session on Nepal We have found it to be useful to arrange an hour-long Nepal session for our visitors. This briefing session basically provides information on the people, cultures and history of Nepal with emphasis on the uniqueness of the destination. It is generally organized during the second day of the group’s tour so that the participants are provided with ‘tools’ to understand and make sense out of the mosaic called Nepal. Experts in various areas provide the briefing. 09:00 hrs – Transfer to Patan and visit Patan Durbar Square Sightseeing tour of Patan Durbar Square (UNESCO World Heritage Site) The square boasts of many famous sites and unique architecture. Krishna Mandir in the Patan Durbar Square was built to honor an incarnation of Vishnu. Krishna was a favorite among the gopini (cowgirls). His temple is the best example of stone architecture in the World. Scenes from the Mahabharat, Asia's greatest mythological war, are carved on the temple's walls.

The streets in the Patan Durbar Square area are home to traditional artists and sculptors. Many more temples dedicated to Ganesh (the elephant-headed god), Shiva, Narsingha, Taleju, and others are located at Patan Durbar Square. Special Lunch at Patan Museum Café (During lunch, guest will be entertained by Traditional Newari Musician along with The Mask Dance at Patan Museum Court Yard) Leave Patan for sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square Kathmandu Durbar Square Sightseeing tour of city visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. Here, the kings of Nepal are crowned and solemnized. Interesting things for visitors to see are Taleju temple, gigantic figure of Kalbhairav (the god of destruction), Basantapur Durbar or Nautale (nine story) palace and temple of Kumari or the residence of living goddess. Located just across the street from the Royal Palace at the entrance to the Thamel tourist area, the Garden was neglected for decades. Its neo-classical pavilions paying homage to Nepal’s six seasons were crumbling. DAY 03 KATHMANDU/ RAFTING/CHITWAN

Special lunch at Riverside Spring Resort Riverside Spring Resort is a place where dreams are made of and where wishes come true. Spread over 15 acres of lush landscape and river parkland, the cradle of nature fronts a large sand beach alongside the sapphire waters of the “ Trishuli ” river as it negotiates a lazy S-bend. Between the restaurant and the beach spreads out the fresh water swimming pool facing this wonderful landscape. Nagarkot is approx. 20 km from Bhaktapur, approx. 32 Km east of Kathmandu, Nagarkot is situated on top of a ridge at an altitude of 2,099 meters above see level. it overlooks the majestic peaks of the Himalayas. On a clear day it provides unforgettable experience – the magnificent view of snow-clad peaks of the Himalayas including Mt. Everest. Guests will be welcomed by a local school children and there will special dance performance by Shamans The guests can enjoy the interaction with the children and school authorities. We will buy things required by the school and our guests can give it to them personally. This would give you sense of satisfaction seeing many faces with a smile!!

DAY 05 NAGARKOT/ CHANGU/ BHAKTAPUR

Early morning sunrise view over the Himalayas Breakfast at Club Himalaya Nagarkot Resort Transfer to Telcot and hike to Changu Narayan Temple Trek passes through villages and Rhododendron forest. The guest will have an opportunity to observe daily village life and related activities. Hill villages in Nepal present a picture of the bygone era. Guests will witness villagers working in the field and carry daily activities in the most natural setting. Villagers still use pre historic technology to plow their fields and carry other activities in agriculture sector. For Western technologically advanced civilization, the village tour would be one of the most exciting aspect on their Nepal visit. (There will be separate drink station for this group) Drive to Bhaktapur and Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Bhaktapur (UNESCO World Heritage Sites) means "the city of devotees" in Nepali language. It is also known as Bhadgaon and was founded in 889 AD by King Anand Dev. Today it covers an area of four square miles and is flanked by Khasa Khusung and Hanumante Rivers. The Durbar Square in the middle of the city portrays the prosperity of the Malla years and the details at which the crafts people then worked. The Palace of Fifty-five windows stands in the square, which was also home to many kings of Bhaktapur.

Among the other monuments in Bhaktapur are the big bell, the Golden Gate, the five-tiered temple of Nyatapola (scene of the film Little Buddha), the Bhairab Temple, and the Dattatreya Square with its

woodcarving and metalwork museums. Surrounded by beautiful farming area, visitors to Bhaktapur will easily fall in love with the city. FAREWELL VILLAGE THEME DINNER AT DWARIKA’S HOTEL “RamailoSaanjh” (Village Theme) - (The Dwarika's Hotel will present "RamailoSaanjh" A Theme Event, where a live Nepali music band will entertain the guests with a fusion of traditional & modern Nepali melodies. Guests will be greeted on arrival by a traditional Tibetan Lama welcome or a Damai Baja ( an ensemble of traditional Nepali marriage musicians) at the door and escorted into the courtyard for a Tika ceremony. We will serve welcome drink after the welcome and the guests can wander among the traditional village themes prepared. The musical team will be stationed in a small stage next to the swimming pool and the entire pool area and the lawn will be decorated with traditional lamps and torches. Various stalls serving Nepali snacks (live stations), placed in strategic locations and guest can partake of them. This would be for duration of two hours. We suggest the program start at 1700 hours and the Village theme could last until 2000 hours and the guests would after this event proceed for Nepali Dinner. The above theme would be apt to showcase traditional Nepali village life and guests could even buy some of the wares if they so choose to. It will be an enthralling event at the Dwarika's Heritage Courtyard, magnificently lit with diyos (oil lamps) and superbly setup background with typical Nepalese village theme showcasing Nepali household items displayed like dhiki - janto, potters, carpet weavers around the hut and many other (i.e,spinning wheels, Palmistry, Fortune teller by Parrot, Charkha, the Nepali Village shop of Cosmetics, jewellery (Chura, Potee, Tika) and seasonal vegetable Market creating a Haat Bazaar atmosphere. Kindly note, all the above activities are subject to change as per the availability of the day. The above cost includes a Lama or Panchakanya Welcome upon arrival of the Guest.
