Neo Building Design an award winning Design team based in Brisbane, Queensland Australia with a branch office in Cairns, Queensland. However due to the relative ease of communication the restriction of boundaries we work and offer work all over Australia.

A B.S.A. registered company of Building Designers and Draftspeople specializing in residential and light commercial / industrial design and documentation.

BDAQ member, Building Designer and Director Jason Krueger formed the company in 2005. It has since developed into a well established business, with a diverse and ever increasing client basethroughout Australia. Neo’s diverse range of experience and abilities enables the company to work on a wide variety of projects. This flexibility has allowed the companies continued growth, despite the market down turn of recent years.

Neo offers a personalised, cost effective design and documentation service with a focus on the use of cutting edge 3D technology, enabling the client to more easily visualise their project right from the initial sketch stage.Key services include;

Pre – design client interview including; discussion of proposed ideas, design options, project budget, site limitations, construction techniques, council regulations etc.

Preparation of sketch plans for feasibility studies. Preparation of plans and details to suit development applications. Preparation of full working drawings to suit council and construction. Preparation of rendered 3D views (varying degrees of detail). Co –ordination and engagement of consultants (Engineers, surveyors, interior designers,

certifiers, town planners and local authorities etc).

KEY PERSONNEL

Jason Krueger is the director, owner and founder of the company, with 20 years experience in the industry. He is a B.D.A.Q. member, a Green Smart Accredited Professional, BERS Energy Assessor and has a B.S.A. `Open’ Building Designer’s License.Prior to starting the business, he worked as a Building Designer and Draftsperson on many and varied projects ranging from project homes and renovations through to large industrial and commercial projects. He has also had some experience as a Manager / Building Designer / Salesperson in the housing industry. Now managing a busy design office, his primary duties are those of H.R. and general office management, building design, liaising and maintaining relationships with large clients, exploring new business opportunities and the financial stability and future growth of the company.

Mike Hope is a Building Designer / Draftsperson with 25 years experience in the industry on a multitude of projects ranging from project & custom homes to industrial & commercial projects. Mike focus is on listening to clients needs and designing a project to suit their needs, which is sometimes rare in this industry. Working as a Building Designer, he is a responsible for initial client meetings and design, supervision of draftspeople, day to day workflow and CAD system development.

Libby McConachie has a Bachelor of Built Environment Architecture Studies, and has 5 years Building Design/ Drafting experience. Previously working for a nationally award winning building design company in North QLD, her focus has been on tropical climate design, steep sloping sites and large prestige homes. She also has experience with the master planning of small and large subdivision projects. Working now with Neo, she is responsible for design and documentation on a wide variety of residential projects.

Peter McPhee is a Building Designer/ Draftsperson with 5 years experience in the industry. Over this time the variation in work has given him a well rounded knowledge of design with a residential focus. His responsibilities include initial client meetings and design, drafting and work flow.

As well as these key staff we have various levels of drafters available to ensure speedy delivery of your projects.

Neo is renowned for working with our clients in a partnership, we take pride in the work we do and understand different clients restrictions, dreams and goals. Our personal approach to all projects ensures that a client can trust that we will do everything we can to make a project successful. Our aim is to showcase built projects, not have pretty pictures hanging up on the wall.

Our passion and aim for all projects is to make sure they come in on budget as well as find a balance between sustainability, practicality and aesthetics. This is relevant to all projects, big or small.

One of our aims is to produce affordable, sustainable homes that aren’t your typical brick and tile box or an expensive, sustainable, ecological, energy efficient mud brick house. Giving people a nice house to live in that encompasses features that make it comfortable and efficient to live in and build as well as have internal and external presence and feel.
