Nov - Faculty Brown Bag: Integrating Asian Cultural Concepts into Curricula

Dec – Cluster Group Meeting & Progress Report to NEH

Feb: Academic Senate Presentation

Feb: Identification of NEH Implementation Team

March: Commencement of Curriculum Development including Learning Communities (COUNS + ESL or ENGL)

April: Field Trip to SF Asian Culture Museum

May/June: Cluster Group Meeting & Progress Report to NEH

• Develop and /or collaborate with student clubs

• Development of NEH Web page consisting of student and faculty resources, Asian Culture Course descriptions, and Cluster & Community Asian Culture Events

• Periodic Cultural Activities

• Local Guest Speakers in collaboration with Library

• Partner with Universities that have existing Asian Culture Degree Programs and develop articulation agreements

• Continued Cluster Group Meetings

• Certificate, Asian Culture – 18 UnitsCore - Art History, Humanities, Philosophy, Foreign Language, EnglishElective (choose 1 or more to total 3 units)- Counseling, History, Political Science, Hospitality Management, Music, WHP (Tai Chi), Economics, Business (International Trade)
