Necklace with hematite beads Materials needed: 10g green seed beads size 11 15g blue seed beads size 11 about 100 hematite beads Estimated time: 2-3 hours depending on your experience.

Thread the needle and unwind about 6, but dont cut the thread off. Attach your favorite clasp and start stringing according to the diagram above - after first four main color beads (mcb) you will be alternating one accent color bead (acb) with seven mcb. When you reach the desired length, attach the second half of the clasp (make sure to make several passes for strength).

Using the same thread, pass the needle back through beads 1-6. String three acb, one mcb, hematite bead, three mcb, four acb, hematite bead and three acb. Pass the needle up through bead 7, 6, 21-24 as shown on the left picture. String three mcb and pass the needle down through bead 18, hematite bead and bead 17. Continue beading the same way using the diagram below.

For the last step you can use the thread we left on the spindle. We will need to make a bottom contour row, which is done in horizontal netting. The red-circled beads are the new beads you will be adding. See the diagram below.

Below you can find an idea for a matching bracelet.
