Himalayan Super Grains

Himalayan Foothills Mountains, due to the typical geography and topography where

villages were and far flung and cut off over a large period of times, evolved in to a self

sustained agrarian societies. Two third of the “Himalayan foothills mountain” districts of Uttarakhand even today grows traditional

crops. These traditional crops are very rich in nutritive qualities.

Uttarakhand mountains could not take full use of green revolution and therefore farmers here continued the traditional agricultural methods meaning they did not used any ago chemical.

These farmers continue to grown lesser known but ancient cereals and Pulses which are highly

nutritive.
