UKRAINIANS
• They represent the largest minority in the
Czech Republic
• This minority is very long-established.
• Their activities are centralized in
organizations like Ukrainian initiative,
Association of Ukrainian women, Association
of Ukrainians and Friends of Ukraine
POLES
• Their activities are centralized in asociations.
• They publish many magazines like Głos ludu,
Zwrot, Kurier Praski.
• They also develop culture activities like
puppet theathre.
• Majority of Poles lives in Polish border area.
VIETNAMESE
• They represent third largest minority in the
Czech Republic.
• Their emphasis on respect for traditions and
hospitality is very typical.
• Their best-known associations are Czech-
Vietnamese Society and Hanoi Club.
RUSSIANS• They live mainly in large cities like Prague or
Carlsbad.
• Most of them are believers; namely Orthodox
christians.
• Their social and community life is very noticable.
• They are represented in many organizations like
Russian tradition or Russian community.
GERMANS
• They try to keep their national heritage by
teaching German language, singing in Choirs
and traditional dancing.
• They publish many books in German
Language and magazines like Landes Zeitung,
Prager Volkszeitung.
ROMANY• They inhabit northern Moravia, northern Bohemia
and large cities.
• Their culture life is admirable; they are very talented
musicians and dancers.
• Sport is important for them as well; they have here
about 10 football clubs.
• They have their own political party named Roma
Civic Initiative.
