Real estate on the Emerald Coast has shown immense improvements over the past two years. Price per sq. ft. is on the
rise, bank related sales continue to decline, and there are more cash transactions, which are critical signs the market
is moving in a positive direction. Inventory is being absorbed quickly enabling properties to hit the market at a higher
value. We are starting to see appreciation overall and for the first time in a long time new construction in Destin, 30A
and Panama City Beach. At the close of 2013, there is approximately 8 months of inventory to sell as compared to nearly
28 months just two years ago. The market has shifted into a seller’s
market, making this an incredible time to list your property. At the
same time, there are still some phenomenal opportunities available for
purchase along the Gulf Coast of Northwest Florida.

In 2012, the Nathan Abbott Team was #1 in sales for ResortQuest Real
Estate of Florida and is currently #1 for 2013. We are on track to close

To find the finest beaches in the world, intrepid Americans might head to Saint Tropez on the French Riviera or perhaps Australia’s famed Gold Coast. But the ultimate sun-drenched power-sand fantasy lies not on some distant shore, but on the coast of Northwest Florida.
The name Abbott is synonymous with real estate along Florida’s Emerald Coast. The Abbott’s have been making real estate their business since 1950 starting with the original Abbott Realtor, William W. Abbott Sr. In 1970, he became a broker and began selling condominiums at El Matador, one of the first condominiums built in northwest Florida. The Abbott’s were involved with the most premier properties along the Emerald Coast. At the time, El Matador, on Okaloosa Island, was the only building with an elevator within two counties. Steve and Bill Abbott followed in their father’s footsteps and founded Abbott Realty in 1977 with a $3,000 investment. Combined with an unsurpassed work ethic, this small monetary investment created a multimillion-dollar-a-year company. Nathan, Erin, and Amanda Abbott keep the business in the family by becoming the third generation of Abbott Realtors. Although times have definitely changed since the inception of the business in the 70’s, its founding principles have remained the same . . . customer service, knowledge, hard work and dedication. Nathan and Erin Abbott are Certified Distressed Property Experts and Investment Agent Specialists. They successfully launched and closed two preconstruction developments, Azure and Palazzo, as well as negotiated several closings on development parcels for future construction.
