God Knows What We are Thinking

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. --Psalm 139:2-3

The Almighty can declare to man his thoughts!

For behold, He who forms mountains, And creates the wind, Who declares to

man what his thought is, And makes the morning darkness, Who treads the high places of the earth. The LORD God of

hosts is His name. -- Amos 4:13

God knows what we are thinking, but many men never stop to

consider what God

thinks.

The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.

O LORD, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep. A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this. -- Psalm 92:5-6

God’s thoughts are far superior to our thoughts“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are

your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways

higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” -- Isaiah 55:8 -9

Let us abandon our way of thinking and tune our minds to God’s way.

Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. -- Isaiah 55:7

Let us focus our minds on good things

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy -- meditate on these things.

Let us determine to do good works so that we might think right thoughts!

Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established. -- Proverbs 16:3

Let us train our thoughts so that we might obey the Lord

“…bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

May the thoughts of God be precious to each of us as we attune our minds to His today.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!

How great is the sum of them! -- Psalm 139:17
