My Family Tree Example
A family tree shows all the branches in a family. Everyone’s family is different. Some people may have lots of brothers and sisters, some people may have step mums and/or dads, some people may have foster parents or be aunts/uncles etc. Your own family tree shows the way your family has developed and some of the history that goes into making you who you are.If you put everyone in your family onto your family tree it may become too difficult to fit everyone in. Choose the people that are most important to you. Below is an example of a family tree, you should include people’s names when you do your own family tree. In the bottom right hand corner is a key which explains the symbols used. You can make up your own symbols; maybe you want to use it to show where people came from, or what their job is/was? It is up to you how much detail to include.
