Monitor store entrances/exits, mitigating theft and fraud and maintaining a safe and secure environment in a retail

shopping center. Interacts effectively with public to resolve issues; work with local police & fire departments when

outside intervention is needed.

At start of morning business hours, insure all entrances, docks, fire doors are unsecured prior to arrival of

employees, customers and deliveries. At close of business, insure all entrances are properly secured.

Conduct exterior security rounds nightly, using security truck. Note unattended vehicles in daily log and alert

proper authorities when additional investigation is needed. Provide interior security protection during non business hours using detex probe.

Interact with contractors, tenants and general public regarding security passes and inspection/verification of

approved property. Test emergency call boxes in public restrooms, public elevators, and freight elevators to insure working

order. Report & resolve exiting problems with store management and maintenance, as needed. Conduct training of newly hired security employees on policies & procedures

In earlier security role, monitored corporate headquarters and three site building complex.
