defending heavyweight champion, Sonny Liston. This turned out to be his plan, because, as he said “You can’t hit what you can’t see.” Liston had muscle on him, but Ali had speed. Ali did not look intimidating at first, just looked like an arrogant loser, but by the 12th round, Liston was down and Ali was looking down on him.
