April 28, 2017 Autumn Concert: Dear Students and Families, This letter is to confirm details for the Autumn Concert on Tuesday, May 30 in the Memorial Great Hall at 7pm. The following ensembles will be performing: MS Chamber Choir Orpheus Choir A Cappella Senior Choir Inter Strings Concert Strings Senior Strings Symphony Orchestra Intermediate Wind Band Symphonic Band Wind Symphony Ellington Jazz Band Stage Band Big Band Guitar Ensemble Due to the large number of students performing, the concert will be held in the MGH. Tickets are not required for this event, and parents and families are warmly encouraged to come and hear the fantastic work our young musicians have been doing at this early stage in the year. Unless instructed otherwise by their ensemble director, students are asked to arrive at school by 6:45pm at the latest, and are required to wear full winter uniform. Students will be directed to warm up rooms in the DYPAC as they arrive. The concert will conclude at 9pm, and student performers are expected to remain for the duration of the concert. Friends of Carey Music will be making refreshments available for purchase during the interval. If you have any queries about the concert please feel free to email me at [email protected]. Thank you for your ongoing support of the music program at Carey, and we look forward to an exciting concert featuring approximately 300 students and a number of our major performing ensembles.
