Binders should be organized with 5 labeled sections: Homework, Classwork, Tests/Quizzes, MCAS, and Vocabulary.

Students should come to class each day prepared with their homework and 2 pencils.

Students should know their multiplication facts from 1-12 VERY WELL.

No late work will be accepted, unless accompanied by a note.

Buckle Down book will be given in early October, and will be used for MCAS review.

Students will be practicing MCAS-type problems on a regular basis.

MCAS review will be offered starting in February-after school.

Grading & Expectations*Binders should have 4 labeled sections.*Accordion folder is kept in locker and is for

completed units.*Grading is point based. *HW-5 pts. Quizzes-50 pts. Tests & Projects-

100 pts. Exams-200 pts. *Homework is assigned daily and is to be

returned and completed the next day. Missing homework is a 0, and results in “please sign” in the agenda.

*All questions should be attempted, even if incorrect. Effort is everything!

*Tests and quizzes are given every few weeks. Projects are periodically assigned, including one on analytical research & writing.
