Strengthening national content involves content digitization and creation

National Digital Content - Main Scope of Activities

Convert content in print or analogue format to digital format and publish it online

Existing print or analogue content could be in text, image, audio or audiovisual

format

Objective of conversion is to preserve information and make it openly accessible

to the public

Digital conversion requires the collaborative efforts of several stakeholders,

standardization of digital formats, preservation for online digital content and

adequate funding

Content Digitization

Conversion to

Digital Content

Facilitate and incentivize creation and publishing of born-digital content by

individuals (user generated content), media companies and other public and

private sector entities

Objective of digital content production is to fuel the digital content ecosystem

and meet the demand of increasingly growing online users

Digital content production can be incentivized through funding, new business

models/monetization, requires human capital development and existence of

enabling infrastructure, policies and regulation
