Mowgli Mentoring Experience: March 2012 (2 days, dates TBC) Mowgli UK, a charity who supports small enterprises, is now recruiting participants for the next mentoring programmes which will take place in March 2012. Read the below and apply! What is it? Take part in this unique year-long experience! Be matched with an experienced business mentor who can help you realise your ambitions for business growth and support you in your personal development. The experience includes one year’s mentoring support as well as becoming part of a fantastic South West network of diverse entrepreneurs from across the region, with regular networking events supporting the programme. This is a FREE opportunity. Who can apply to be a Mowgli Entrepreneur? Mentees will be screened and selected carefully. You must have: A developed business/charitable business with some secured funding, trading for at least a year Commitment to mentoring for one year (minimum 2 hours per month plus the initial 2-day programme) Willingness to pass on the benefits of mentoring when the process finishes and support Mowgli’s work in the South West A business which can grow and support the community around it, through job creation or other positive impacts. The Mentors The mentors will be identified and pre-qualified through a rigorous selection process, and are typically successful business practitioners with varied industry experience. They would have excellent listening skills, a desire to support others, and a proven track record in the strategic side of business. The mentoring workshop and year-long experience Our year-long Mowgli Mentoring Experience commences with a 3-day introduction to mentoring programme, which incorporates mentee and mentor matching, relationship building and a basic grounding in mentoring practice. The first 1 day involves the mentors only, providing them with knowledge and tools to participate successfully in this experience. In the second part of the program, mentors and mentees will be paired during an accelerated relationship-building activity, followed by one- to-one sessions. The pairs will work on understanding each other while the mentee sets his business proposition as well as personal development plans coupled with measurable goals. Pairs are matched according to personal compatibility and synergy. Your mentor will be someone you can trust and look up to. Mowgli Manchester group at the workshop

For one year after, each mentee will drive their mentoring relationship, while his/her mentor will react to the goals and objectives and provide support in achieving them. The structure of the relationship is supported by Mowgli but works entirely according to the needs of the mentor and mentee. The outcomes The expected outcomes of this mentorship program are:

enhanced chances of business success

guidance during key transitions and decisions in growing a business

understanding the value of mentoring as a leadership development tool

and constructive support for your growth as a person and as a business owner. The Venue The Mowgli experience will take place in the Ammerdown Conference centre in Somerset. Ammerdown is set in idyllic Somerset countryside next to a Stately Home. http://www.ammerdown-conference.co.uk/ The Costs Mowgli Entrepreneurs do not have to pay to take part in the Mowgli Experience, though many entrepreneurs make a voluntary contribution to the Foundation at the completion of their year. However, you must demonstrate that you meet the minimum criteria in order to apply.
