RM25 each. Class hall is equivalent to the business class seat in airline. There are only three venues that provide this premiere class hall which are at GSC Signature, GSC Gurney Plaza and the GSC Berjaya Times Square.

DIGITAL 3DThe Digital 3D movies are the latest technological invention that has only been available in cinema in recent years. The Digital 3D halls movies are presented by Dolby Digital Cinema with different audio quality and reliability. Digital 3D vision is the use of two eyes to create an image in human’s brain. The application of two eyes that work together in this way is what allows people to observe depth. The brain uses the space between the image on screen and each eye to determine how far the image is. Because movie screens are flat, all images are of the same distance away, so Digital 3D is a method used to trick the eyes into seeing two different images. Older 3D movies were made with two cameras that record each image in red and blue or red and green. The images will be then projected on the screen using two cameras in synchronization. So, cinema viewers have to wear special glasses with red and blue tinted or red and green tinted lenses so that each eye could see only one of the images, this is the trick that creates a 3D effect. But today's modern 3D cameras use two lenses to capture two sets of images, but they do not use the colored tinted lenses, instead the images are differentiated by opposite diagonal or vertical and horizontal polarization. Cinema viewers still have to wear a special glass, but they are no longer colored. Each differently polarized image is filtered by the lenses and that’s the image that we can see. In a movie theater, you wear 3D glasses is to see different images into your eyes. The screen of Digital 3D actually displays two images, but the glasses cause one of the images to enter one eye and the other to enter the other eye. GSC cinema uses the second method which is modern 3D application. Digital 3D halls are now available in GSC Signature, GSC Gurney Plaza, GSC Berjaya Times Square, GSC Mid Valley, GSC Pavilion, GSC 1 Utama, GSC IOI Puchong, GSC Dataran Pahlawan, GSC Sunway Carnival, GSC East Coast and GSC Suria Sabah.

DIGITAL 2D

The Digital 2D is an application by presenting a sequence of motionless images of moving scene. This is also called the illusion of motion. This application of Digital 2D can perceive the pictures as moving provided that the rate of arrangement is more than 17 images per second. The moving pictures of a film are actually just a visual illusion, while your eye is actually seeing a sequence of motionless images. This is because your brain is interpreting a sequence of large number of images, and fills the gap in the motion between the screens. This application of Digital 2D promises high quality images and digital sound. GSC Digital 2D viewers are assured of high quality and good experience. Digital 2D halls are available in GSC Signature, GSC Gurney Plaza, GSC Berjaya Times Square, GSC Mid Valley, GSC Pavilion, GSC 1 Utama, GSC IOI Puchong, GSC Dataran Pahlawan, GSC Sunway Carnival, GSC East Coast and GSC Suria Sabah.

NORMAL CLASS

The normal class has basic and normal features of a cinema theater. It is well equipped with comfortable and spacious seats. All normal class theater has most number of single seats and a row of couples seats at the end of the hall. Couples seats are also called the twin seats. GSC International Screen is a function provided in the webpage of GSC that showcases foreign non-mainstream feature film, local mainstream feature film and local non-mainstream feature film. Their main objective is to maintain the ever rising of these feature movies for the viewers in the form of appreciation for the mainstream and non-mainstream films in all languages. These International Screens are dedicated to the broadcast of art house, foreign language films, mainstream and non-mainstream film. The 1st GSC International Screens was launched at the GSC Mid Valley in KL. There were a lot of appreciations such

as award winning for the local and foreign films screened in the GSC International Screen. GSC e-Cinema was launched on August 2004, and ever since then it has been showcasing foreign non-mainstream feature films, local mainstream feature film and local non-mainstream feature films. The International Screens also provide an avenue for local short films to be seen, by the use of attachment to a feature film. This GSC e-Cinema was also known as an substitute function to the local solo Directors which only shoot on digital cameras, for them to showcase their work in a cinema without having to change their work, because by changing their work may cost them a lot. This is so obvious that by providing such an alternative, GSC e-cinema is actually motivating and encouraging more and more local talent for either short or feature long movies, this is an advantage for the local director. GSC International Screen viewers are normally in a large number of local movie fans, middle to upper income earner, age group in the range of 16 – 30 years old. But in some seasonal time, there are also a lot of foreigners can be seen in International Screen hall. The GSC International Screens movies are well sustained and supported by the media and newspapers in terms of reviews and advertising. GSC International Screens gained a reputation for bringing quality films to the Malaysian audience; it has also impressed a niche market for itself surrounded by discerning viewers. The GSC International Screens are located at GSC Mid Valley, GSC 1-Utama and GSC Pavilion.

QUESTION 2 (b)GSC Cinema’s movie function has all those information that a viewer will want, yet there are some lacking in this function. First of all, a viewer has to go to many different functions to get proper information. For example, when a person want to survey about a movie, the first thing he/she will go into the function ‘movie’ to find out what are the movies available at the time. When he/she found the movie wanted, he/she need to click on the movie title, the synopsis of the movie, the director of the movie, the movie trailer, the length of the movie and so on will be shown in the web page. But the troublesome matter is that, the viewer need to click at another function called ‘cinema – ticket pricing’ to view the price of movie and the places that the movie is available in. This will take some precious time of the viewer. So it will be better if all the information needed for the viewers to catch a movie can be viewed in a single click. The print screen below shows how the existing system works.

Another improvement that GSC cinema has to do is about the function ‘next change’. This function is not often updated as I realized. For an example, a movie was still in the function ‘next change’ when the movie was already released in cinema for about two days. Rather than that, they also show the next change movies about 3 or 4 days earlier, this shows their system is not well planned and organized. So, the management of GSC cinema has to improve in updating their webpage by showing the next change at least two weeks earlier. This can be done if the management of GSC cinema updates their webpage as often as possible, if not; soon or later they are going to lose their customer’s satisfaction. This is because there are a lot of customer merely relies on the GSC cinema’s webpage. The print screen below shows the function ‘next change’.
