Appendix Part 1: POWER OF NINE WHEN GIVING DECREES ~ from Being MORE Book There is power in the number nine. When some devotees do decrees and spoken word affirmations, they mainly do repetitions centered around the number nine. So what is so special about doing things nine times? The answer lies in the world of music. In the western major scale there are eight notes which form an “octave”. This scale consists of seven ascending or descending notes followed by a return to the first note, creating an eight note pattern. After this pattern is finished, the scale moves through the same eight notes but in a higher or lower frequency range. These frequency ranges can be likened to dimensions. So in essence, when you repeat something nine times you first start with some common tonality in your own dimension that you want to move to and you give it eight times, representing moving through or permeating your dimension. The ninth time is the breakthrough into the next dimension, the piercing through the veil. This is why it is important to give it nine times. By piercing through to the next dimension you reach into that realm and create a sacred space for that light to enter. A powerful exercise to use is to start on the note that corresponds to the ray of the decree, and give each repetition as an ascending note of the major scale until you reach the ninth note, which breaks through the barriers of your current dimension. Below is a graph corresponding the twelve notes to the twelve rays.

9th ray: Transcendence Meditation You must first relax your body by using a proper technique to do so, such as diaphragmatic breathing. Make sure you are comfortable and recite this memorized prayer with your eyes closed: “Father-Mother God, Divine Life, Source of my Being, Great I AM THAT I AM, I know it is your will that I shall become fully enlightened to my oneness with you. Illuminate my being to the awareness of your Presence. Enfold me in your radiant and transcendent consciousness. Fill me with your Love until I am fully expressing your essence. If any thought enters your mind simply repeat the above mantras until your thoughts are still again. When you are in complete stillness and beyond the realm of thought you are piercing through the veil into the spiritual realm and receiving a spiritual recharging of Light. Stay there for a good deal of time and seal the experience in gratitude. Each time you do this meditation, you build a momentum and pierce further and further into the subtle realms of spirit.

A common diaphragmatic breathing exercise is as follows:

1. Sit or lie comfortably 2. Put one hand on your chest and one on your stomach. 3. Slowly inhale (to slow down the intake of breath). 4. As you inhale, let your stomach expand with your hand while your chest is still. 5. Slowly exhale to regulate the release of air. 6. Rest and repeat.

12th ray: Rose Visualization Take some time to make yourself comfortable until you are not distracted by anything in the physical realm. When you are relaxed, imagine that your consciousness is superimposed onto a rose. You feel the delicate petals caressed by the cool spring breeze. You are so light you feel like you can float to the heavens. You then become aware of your sturdy stem implanting you firmly into the ground. You feel strength shoot up the stem until you are brimming with energy and vitality. You smell the strong fragrance coming from within and it melts away any negativity. Just then, two people appear to your right and are arguing with each other. One you recognize as your own ego, and the other is someone else’s ego. Because you are a rose you do not try to get involved with the argument, but instead radiate your strength and beauty despite the negativity around you. You go within and shine even brighter than you ever have before, radiating a supreme positivity and love towards everything around you. The two people arguing are so stunned by your strength and beauty that they find it hard to continue to argue. Instead, both remain silent and in awe. Just by being in your presence, all conflict is diminished. As long as you radiate peace and love, only the things of peace and love are allowed to enter your proximity. Accepting the moment fully, you return for a moment to explore the consciousness and being of a rose and then seal the visualization in gratitude.
