Motivating Employees Through Empowerment

The superior organizational performance will come from the superior performance of talented and empowered people. In all kinds of organizations, keeping people motivated and retaining them is one of the most critical issues. Several tools and mechanisms, both monetary and non-monetary, are still used by managers and Human resources departments to motivate and retain people.

In this program, we will focus on empowerment and highlight its effects on motivation and performance.

The purpose of empowering people is to tap the enormous reservoir of potential contribution that lies within every employee. Empowering people enhance their engagement in the organization.

Participants will learn how to introduce and implement empowerment to enhance motivation, involve employee and retain them. Participants will learn also how to link empowerment with strategic issues such as total quality management.

His main areas of expertise are HRD, OB, Quality management CSR, Diversity and cultural management.

Before joining the academics, he was in charge with executive employees at Sonatrach, the largest oil corporation in North Africa then with the labor relations at a public institution in Algeria.

Madoun was also a consultant and an auditor in major French corporations such as COGEMA, a nuclear power enterprise, French Telecom and Railway company.

He was the head of international relations and research at Chambery (France) School of business.

He started teaching in North Africa (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia) as in charge of executive education.

In France, at the School of Business of Marseille, he taught in Master Programs and executive MBA as well for more than 20 years. He was in charge of management education, run by the ILO, for Romanian executives for more than 5 years. In Poland, he started the executive MBA in TQM and HRM at the University of Wroclaw during 10 years. He was a visiting faculty at IIMT/ ICFAI Hyderabad from 2006 to 2008.

His research focusses on the relations between HR and quality, corporate social responsibility and diversity in the workplace.
