Tweak Display Scaling for Big Screens“The layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref is a String value parsed to a float and allows to fine tune the dimensions of all elements (user interface and web pages) more precisely (resolution 0.1 or 0.05). You can use values between 0.05 and 1.0 to reduce elements in size or use values greater than 1.0 to magnify and make elements larger (percentage divided by DPI, % / DPI).” https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/962588

Tweak Display Scaling for Big ScreensA similar feature is being developed in Google Chrome, but at the time of this writing, it is not working fully. https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=400837http://www.ubergizmo.com/how-to/how-to-google-chrome-hidpi-support-windows/https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/0eSSJK9heeg

In some updates of Google Chrome there was an experimental setting at: chrome://flags/#force-device-scale-factor

Tweak Display Scaling for Big Screenshttp://www.ubergizmo.com/how-to/how-to-google-chrome-hidpi-support-windows/Indicates adding the command line argument “/high-dpi-support=1 /force-device-scale-factor=1” works in Chrome 37.0.2062.94+.

Another thing to try, would be checking out the latest Google Chrome Beta:https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/beta.html

OS Level Display ScalingWindows 7 - Enter dpiscaling at a command prompt, using the Windows-R run shortcut, or in the Search box on the Start menu. This will open the Display page directly, allowing you to then reset the scaling setting. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff629368.aspx

Save Memory – Use Built in Features that Obsolete Old Extensions

“Flashblock is an extension for the Mozilla, Firefox, and Netscape browsers that takes a pessimistic approach to dealing with Macromedia Flash content on a webpage and blocks ALL Flash content from loading. It then leaves placeholders on the webpage that allow you to click to download and then view the Flash content.”

As of Firefox version 15 the "click-to-play" plugins option can disable plugins like Adobe Flash by default but you can still play them with a single click. This prevents Flash and other plugins from loading automatically. To enable 'click-to-play plugins' in Firefox 15, type "about:config" in the address bar, search for "plugins.click_to_play" and set it to "true". This option will save memory, help avoid obnoxious video ads, and it can be configured on a per site basis.

What is a Bookmark?In the context of the World Wide Web, a bookmark is a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) that is stored for later retrieval in any of various storage formats. All modern web browsers include bookmark features. Bookmarks are called favorites or Internet shortcuts in Internet Explorer, and by virtue of that browser's large market share, these terms have been synonymous with bookmark since the first browser war.[1] Bookmarks are normally accessed through a menu in the user's web browser, and folders are commonly used for organization. In addition to bookmarking methods within most browsers, many external applications offer bookmark management.

Bookmarks have been incorporated in browsers since the Mosaic browser in 1993.[2] Bookmark lists were called Hotlists in Mosaic[3] and in previous versions of Opera; this term has faded from common use. Other early web browsers such as ViolaWWW and Cello also had bookmarking features.

Why bother organizing bookmarks into folders?● After creating bookmarks, the list will no longer fit in one

window, requiring scrolling down your list.● With out categories, it will be hard to find some, so you might as

well just search the web!● So check out your bookmark manager: Ctrl-Shift-B (Firefox) or

Ctrl-Shift-O (Chrome), Ctrl-B (IE Organize Favorites)

More Fun with JavascriptBookmarklet to rename tab title: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=3151639javascript:(function() {document.title=prompt("Enter Page Title",document.title);})();

Some websites do not give each of their pages a meaningful title. This bookmarklet can make it easy to mark such a page to make it easier to find again in the window list or a row of tabs.
