TRANSITION TEAM UPDATE

The Transition Team have published the minutes of their first meeting. To find out more about what they discussed, and what that will mean for Junior Branch, and the way they will be working between now and AIM 2013, read here <http://bit.ly/yCHO3Z>

where they have lived for 4 months, and will be moving to Colombia for the second part of their work.

RIGHT ON!How can we emphasize the Global Movement that Junior Branch really is?

With content-based projects such as Human Arrows (2009) and Peace One Day initiatives Junior Branch’s values were and are immediately visible, the Global Movement of Junior Branch is emphasized and spread through online means and word-of mouth. By initiatives such as these as well as international Junior Branch workshops and trainings we learn that we are part of a group of people thinking about the same topics, facing the same challenges, asking the same questions, and taking actions, working together in hundreds of cities around the world(1).

2013 is right around the corner, and with the new year comes a new content area - Human Rights. The project Right On aims to have IJB collectively work on this content area in 2013 and, by doing so, further expand (the feeling for) our Global Movement.

Every two months will have a special focus (step) for the way we will approach human rights. In January (and every two months), we will publish an activity that JBs around the world can easily run. We will also publish a short text about the step. In addition, we’ll be providing materials throughout each step that JBs can get creative with.

We are working together very closely with Con Lupa and Rupert, CISV’s Educational Officer, so the project will not be limited to International Junior Branch, but will have contributions from other parts of the organization as well.

NEW WEBSITE

The development of the new website has met with a number of delays. This is bad news but it is important that the part of the site that looks after the membership and activity database works exactly the way we need it to do. However, the site will be launching early in 2013 – more news on this soon; look out for a fun launch campaign!
