    Lets Start at the beginning

I want to take us all back, way back, not to your beginning or to mine, not even to theorigins of our family names. I want to take us back to before time and space existed. There are two major schools of thought that try to explain where we came from andhow; there are numerous schools that have their own explanation.

The Scientist tries to use wisdom and rational thought while the spiritual use thenotion that there must have been a god of sorts that caused the earth to be as it istoday.

Contrary to the Westminster System of Debate, Parliamentary style, I intend t oexamine first the Scientific Mantra. Now it seem to me that scientists do not startfrom nothing, according to the big bang theory there existed something out there thatexploded, chunks flew off in every direction and over millennia the solar system, andeven the Universe has cooled and coagulated to the shape it is today.

Now this to me is a very interesting theory, not the least for the questions it asks, ordoes not answer. Questions like where did the material that went bang come from, and why did it suddenly go bang so catastrophically?

These questions raise in my mind elemental thoughts like it happened once before;actually they tell us that on top of the big bang there have been two ice ages wherethis planet froze or at least a substantial part of it. My mind also ranges to thinkingabout the issue of the predictability of the life as we know it now.

Scientists are big on Proving their theories, but one of the fundamental elements tothe big bang is the Chaos Theory where everything can be reduced to chaoticpatterns that work like ripples on a pond, growing bigger with every wave. But myissue with this is what happens when the wave hits a brick wall does it just stop?So to develop this one step further what implications does this have for the earth, oursolar system, and for the future of mankind?

Standing against the scientific view is the faith view , you will note that the wordChristian was not used. The reason for that distinction is that there are manycreation stories; many of the Australian Aborigines have the rainbow sna ke as theformer of the world for instance. However there is a broad unity of sorts between theJews, the Muslims, and the Christians. It begins with two words beginning Godand develops in an orderly manner until the creation of mankind first the man fromthe earth and Eve as a part of him.

God is responsible for calling the earth and everything associated with it into being, the stars, the sun and moon, all the animals, even time, then He gets His hands dirtyby fashioning one like as unto Him, not a copy a similitude, then fashions one to be acompanion.

The scientists will scoff and say it didnt happen like that but they do not have a firstcause, their theory begins with a pre-existent object, whether it was self autonomousor not. The story that the Jews, Muslims, and Christians hold essentially true startswith a First Cause His name is God in the English

I am comfortable with the Faith version, it starts with a God who is active andcreative and whos intent right from the beginning was to commune with mankindand work toward our benefit so long as we let Him. How about you?
