TEAM

MKBT consists of an interdisciplinary team with extensive experience in strategic planning processes, public participation, engineering, urban planning and local economic development.

Our team combines fieldwork experience, of direct interaction with end beneficiaries, with consistent academic training, both in Romania and abroad. MKBT team members have worked so far with more than 20 local authorities in Romania, as well as with government or international institutions (World Bank, United Nations Development Programme, UN-Habitat).

CONCEPT

MKBT: Make Better is a fresh start-up in urban development and regeneration in Romania, combining top know-how, dedicated passion and bold vision to tackle our cities most stringent needs. As a local development advisor, we assist both public and private entities. Our approach is based on innovation in strategic urban planning processes and in the design and implementation of local development projects.

We substantiate our work on a thorough understanding of local needs and specificities of the communities in which we work. We acknowledge, at the same time, the global interconnectedness of local challenges. Thus, our proposed solutions are grounded in international best practice, while capitalizing in a sustainable and harmonious manner on local know how and resources.
