“We intend to convene a committee to develop proposed regulations designed to prevent fraud and otherwise ensure proper use of Title IV, HEA program funds, especially within the context of current technologies. In particular, we intend to propose regulations to address the use of debit cards and other banking mechanisms for disbursing Federal Student Aid funds. In addition, we intend to propose regulations to improve and streamline the campus-based Federal Student Aid programs.”

• Clock hours = Amount of Instruction and Activities Student Completes

• Credit Hours = Clock Hours Converted Into Units That Can Be Combined To Obtain A Degree or Certificate

• On-Ground Programs require proof that each in class instruction clock hour is supplemented with 15 minutes of out of class activities

• Online Programs require proof that their alternative means of instruction (not a live lecture although synchronous web conferencing is an option) requires a similar time commitment from students as a live lecture would and aligns with the approval application

We considered a student to have attended if we found evidence in the system that the student:

Responded to an academically-related question asked by the instructor;

Contributed to an academically-related discussion; Submitted a homework assignment; or Participated in an on-line quiz.

• For-Profit schools work directly with Workforce Development Boards, Local Companies, Fortune 500s, and Industry Experts to craft curriculum that prepare students for careers that are available/growing right now

• We will NOT “Win The Future” without for-profit education

• Every school I’ve worked with has changed the life of a student that took advantage of the opportunity they were given
