ADMISSION

GENERAL PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Child Development and Education (CDE) Department provides a holistic program for students who wish to pursue a career in early education, specifically in the pre-school and elementary levels.

Students are equipped with the knowledge of childhood growth and development to prepare young children to cope with learning within and beyond the classroom setting and helping them become productive members of their home, school and community. Part of the exposure of CDE students is teaching out-of-school youths, handicapped and special children, as well as young adults.

The course prepares students for the Licensure Examinations for Teachers (LET) in which the school has maintained a 100% passing rate for the past years. CDE graduates can also pursue further studies in Education in Miriam College.
