Shiny materials, such as patent leather and light reflect ing ve lvet i s an important element this fall. Lace and brocade is the first runner up, closely followed by soft knits as shown by Missoni. Fur and feathers was used on coats, and as collars on jackets and gilets.

The color range is quite wide this fall. From the dark and metallic colors of Sportmax and Gucci; plum, burgundy and dark blue, to bright colors such as yellow, red and turqoise showed by Marni and Jil Sander. Black, of course, is a fall color to rely on. Dolce & Gabbana used it together with créme-white, gold, and beautiful flower prints.

Just as with the colors, there’s a lot of different silhouettes this season. Emphasis is mostly on the waist, legs and shoulders. Wide pants and boxy jackets creates a square silhouette. Pencil skirts and belts, together with big, puffy shoulders forms a hourglass-shape.

DetailsGold on both bags, as appliques and as jewellery, as shown by Dolce & Gabanna. Leather is important on its own, and also incorporated with other materials. Embellishment, especially on jackets, and last but not least - belts on the waist.
