Omi-VistaOmi-vista is a sensational new interactive projection system that will integrate into and complement any sensory studio or work as a stand alone system.

It opens up a thrilling new world of immersive interaction by projecting dynamic images onto the floor. The user simply moves within the image to influence and control the visual and audio effects.

Anyone of any age or ability can create sensational effects and interact with games and experiences.

The complete package includes: a dedicated configured PC, integrated sound system and brackets, mirror and cable assembly, complete movement tracking system, Omi-vista interactive graphic control software with 3 templates, and familiarisation training. (Up to 10 different templates are available).

A Data projector will also be needed (model to suit your environment and budget).

Complete package, including projector and 3 templates £6,300 to £6,800 and additional templates are £995 each. Prices do not include VAT (to be charged at current rates).

The price of installation depends on location, site conditions and whether it is fitted as part of a studio or separately. Installation will be costed at the time of enquiry.

Dandelion Light PanelA wonderfully attractive and relaxing visual panel with gently changing coloured radiating rings of fibres that have the lightness and appearance of Dandelion seed heads.

The panel will enhance any Sensory room, chill-out space or will provide a visual feature anywhere.It has a switch which enables you to stop the drifting colour change at any point.The panel can include a Switch2 control to enable complete safe control in a variety of times and modes, including a Radio remote option.Size 87 x 75 x 14cm (wall mounted)

Max effect wheels for Solar projectorsDespite great leaps in advancement of projected images for sensory work, the faithful Solar 250 Projector still remains a popular piece of equipment to complement any Sensory space.

What is its perennial attraction? It is very simple to use, reliable, portable and easy to adapt and you can make your own effects and wheels to fit it. And for those of us who remember the 60s; it has a very special charm!

To add to the wide range of effects wheels, Opti have introduced the Max effect wheels.

They are a range of 10 enhanced photographic wheels, each with about twice as many images as the traditional 6" wheel, and of a much higher definition. When used with the new Max wheel rotator that has a 6 minute rotation, it will create wonderful moving scenes.

Interactive Tactile Mural at Great Ormond StreetMike Ayres Design has created this wonderful mural in the reception and play area of the new Somer Clinical Research Facility. It has a hint of the countryside and woodlands, which is synonymous with the rest of the building, and includes a number of interactive activities for the children to explore. They include an infinity panel, colour controllable Fibre optic lights, sound panels, a giant keyboard and a magical mouse hole.

We also have a number of other projects around the Hospital including three individual sensory rooms in the Children’s Activity Centre and on Wards.

Newstead CentreNewstead is a centre in Blurton, Stoke on Trent that provides services for adults with learning disabilities. It is focussing on offering a Sensory based experience and learning facility to everyone who attends.

Mike Ayres Design is advising on and providing the Sensory environments and facilities for this very special project. We have designed and installed the first ‘chill-out’ room and are in the early stages of developing other areas of the building and rooms with specific themes and functions.

Avenue SchoolThe Avenue School is a new purpose built special school in Tilehurst, Reading.It caters for pupils with very complex needs, including ASD and PMLD and has Specialist status for the Performing Arts.

Mike Ayres designed and installed two very comprehensive Sensory studios, a Sensory pool and this magnificent Soft play space.We were presented with a very large open space and a brief to create an exciting, safe experience on a number of different levels. The resulting structure and space complements the design of the building and links the external area with the play space by using coloured shapes and windows.
