I hope your weekend was wonderful. This week is a short week due to
observance of Rodeo Days. We will not have school on Thursday and Friday.
I hope you are able to spend time with your family over the long weekend
making life-long memories. Have a wonderful week!

RODEO DAYS – February 26th & 27th – No School
Your Marana Tiger Band is entry #219 in the Tucson Rodeo Parade on Thursday, Feb.
26th. Look for us on KOLD Channel 13, or if attending in person, give us a loud “TIGER
PRIDE” and a big wave. The parade begins at 9AM.
LOCK-IN – Friday, March 6th. If you are a member of the Yearbook staff, Journalism class
or Newspaper Club, check-in with Mr. Jones or Ms. Wagner and pick-up a parent
permission slip. We must have your permission slips in advance in order for you to
participate in the lock-in. We want you to come and have fun! Come get your permission
slip ASAP!

REGISTRATION for 2015-16 SCHOOL YEAR
MHS registration for the 2015-16 school year is finalizing
this week. The Online Course Request Window for students to
enter their courses for next year will close this Friday, February 27th. This can be
done from home, or anywhere they are able to log on to their Student Vue
account. Counselors will be available Tuesday and Wednesday, February 24th &
25th in the Career Center for students that need assistance with the process. Any
student who is unable to log into their account will need to see Ms. Siros in the
counseling office for assistance. Attached you will find the MHS Course Book and
Course Request Worksheet which includes the online registration instructions. These
materials are also available on the MHS website in the counseling section under
registration.

GRAD NIGHT/PTO Meeting
Monday, February 23rd from 6:45-7:45pm at Wheeler Library
Graduation will here soon and we still need lots of volunteers to make this a successful
event for our students. Please consider coming to the meeting and finding out how you
can help.
The PTO part of the meeting will be the first 15 minutes and the Grad Night meeting
will be from 7:00-7:45pm.

Our vision for our academies at MHS is Discover Your Place and Decide Your Plan. An
important piece of students discovering their place is to hear from adults who have a
career they love. If you would love to share your wisdom and career story with our
amazing students, we would love to have you. We have guest speakers each Wednesday
from 3:00 to 3:40. Please let me know if you are willing to come and help our students

NEW OPTION FOR REPORTING ABSENCES
Marana High School has a new option for calling your student out for the day. Email us at
[email protected] or [email protected] with your students name, grade,
reason for absence and your name and along with a phone number where we can reach
you. We hope this will be convenient for you. Thank you.

TIGER PRIDE ATHLETICS AND NEWS
We are in the spring athletic season with baseball, softball, tennis, track and men’s
volleyball. All programs are entrenched in the 3C’s (Culture, Commitment, and
Competitiveness) at practice, on the field, court, and on campus. These Tigers have
prepared to represent Marana Athletics to the best of their ability. We hope you will
come out and support your Tigers!
