The present map shows basic topographic features such as transportation, hydrology,settlements and industrial facilities in the area of Mertert (LUXEMBOURG).These basictopographic features are derived from public datasets, refined by means of visualinterpretation of pre-event aerial digital ortho-photos, image © 2014 Microsoft, distributed byESRI ArcGIS World Imagery Map (acquired on 11/08/2012 and 30/09/2011, GSD 0.6 m, 0%cloud coverage).The estimated geometric accuracy of this product is 5 m CE90 or better, from nativepositional accuracy of the background satellite image.The estimated thematic accuracy of this product is 85% or better, as it is based on visualinterpretation of recognizable items on very high resolution optical imagery. This reference map has been produced in the context of the European Civil ProtectionModules Exercises (EuLuModex Luxembourg) to be conducted on 26 September 2014. Forthe purposes of the exercise, a flood scenario will be staged in the harbour of Mertert withspreading of CBRN goods. This map is used in preparation and use during the LuModexExercise from 26/09/ - 29/09/2014.The core users of the map are Disaster Response Authorities involved in operations.
No restrictions on the publication of the mapping apply.Delivery formats are GeoTIFF, GeoPDF, GeoJPEG and vectors (shapefile and KML formats).
