On My Honor – Scouts and Leaders should ensure that this is being upheld. * Special accommodation may requested for a scout who has registered online and only needs required merit badges to complete their Eagle merit badge requirements. Requests are to be addressed to the MBR Chair.

ADMISSIONS AND STANDARDS MBR is for registered Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, and Venture Scouts, primarily, in the Thunderbird District yet all Scouts are welcomed. Participants of any race, color, creed, and ethnic or national origin are accepted for admission to this program provided they maintain the BSA standards while on the premises. These include modesty in dress and conduct, and abstinence from alcohol, tobacco and harmful drugs. We are committed to providing a learning atmosphere that reasonably accommodates persons with disabilities who are otherwise qualified. Prior to registration, applicants with disabilities are invited to discuss the program content and available facilities with the MBR Chair. Scouts are to wear the official Field Duty Uniform (commonly known as Class A uniform). Visit the Grand Canyon Scout Shop at 2969 North Greenfield, Phoenix, AZ 85016 / (602) 955-7747 for your Scouting needs.

LIMITED WALK-UP REGISTRATION Early Online Registration Is Encouraged There may be some walk up space available during Session 1 - Walk-Up Registration. HOWEVER, space may be limited so there is no guarantee whether class space will be available during Walk-Up Registration. Experience has shown that most of the Eagle required merit badge courses are usually the first to fill up along with the smaller elective classes; therefore, we encourage early online registration. A non-refundable registration fee is required. During Walk-Up Registration, available Merit Badge Classes by will be posted.

IF there is availability, a Post-IT will be placed under the merit badge name by class hour. As Scouts are registered for a class, Post-ITs are removed.

When the Post-ITs are all removed, this implies that the class, for that class time, is full.

UNIT LEADERS

At the end of the second session, Merit Badge Applications will be signed by MB Counselors. A scout, who completes all requirements, including prerequisites, will be eligible to complete the merit badge. If all requirements are not completed, then the Scout is to receive a partial credit.

Completed Merit Badge Scout has attended both MBR sessions and has provided the Merit Badge Counselor with any additional documentation to fulfill all merit badge requirements.

Partial Credit (Full Class Credit) Scout has attended both MBR sessions but did not provide additional documentation to fulfill all merit badge requirements. Scouts who do not complete all the requirements will receive partial credit. The merit badge counselors will complete the partial section of the application. Scouts are encouraged to work with their local Merit Badge Counselors or they can contact the MBR counselor. Scouts, with a signed partial Merit Badge Application, only are required to complete the remaining requirements to complete the merit badge. The Scouts are not required to re-do or re-review requirements completed during MBR as long as they retain the signed MBR Merit Badge Application. If you have questions about a specific partial Merit Badge, please contact the MB Counselor; as needed, contact the MBR Chair.
