The firm is dedicated to the provision of hydrogeological and environmental consulting services within Canada and abroad. Our staff have extensive experience ranging from nine to over 30 years in the industry. Our hydrogeologists and environmental scientists have immense experience in the designing; planning and implementation of high quality surficial soil, surface and groundwater studies aimed at characterizing environmental conditions at residential, commercial and industrial property sites. These investigations have included environmental sites assessment and impact studies at petrochemical facilities, mining sites and at upstream oil and gas sites. Specifically for the mining sector, our team has completed studies to characterize sites for environmental impact assessments, waste pile monitoring of leach operations, closure analysis and for the continuous monitoring of tailing and process water ponds. Each of our environmental program interventions is unique; designed to suit the environmental and hydrogeological conditions of the mine site as well as the ultimate objectives of the investigations. We have designed water monitoring programs to monitor surface and groundwater levels and qualities prior to, during and after mine closure. In addition, MEK environmental scientists have designed and implemented several surficial soil and water studies to meet specific objectives of our clients. To this end, we have completed studies to: 1. Establish baseline soil and water quality prior to mine start-up operations; 2. Monitor water quality designed parameters of effluents to ensure that they meet authorized concentrations for dissolved arsenic, copper, lead, nickel, zinc, cyanide, radium-226, total suspended solids, pH and toxicity among others; 3. Determine whether metal mining effluent regulation authorized limits are protecting aquatic life 4. Monitor changes in the physical parameters (water levels, pH, electrical conductivity and redox potential etc.) of surface water and also shallow and deep groundwater system within the mine concession; 5. Delineate contaminant “hot spots” within the mining concession or in general, the areas under investigations as the situation may warrant. Summary of MEK’s Environmental Exper ience in the Mining and Related Sectors

MEK Earth & Environmental Inc. is a Canadian registered consulting firm with head office in Port Moody,

Br itish Columbia. The firm is dedicated to the provision of hydrogeological and environmental consulting

services within Canada and abroad. Our staff have extensive experience ranging from nine to over 30

years in the industry.

Our hydrogeologists and environmental scientists have immense experience in the designing; planning and

implementation of high quality surficial soil, surface and groundwater studies aimed at characterizing

environmental conditions at residential, commercial and industrial property s ites. These investigations

have included environmental sites assessment and impact studies at petrochemical facilities, mining sites

and at upstream oil and gas s ites. Specifically for the mining sector, our team has completed studies to

characterize sites for environmental impact assessments, waste pile monitoring of leach operations, closure

analys is and for the continuous monitor ing of tai ling and process water ponds .

Each of our environmental program interventions is unique; designed to suit the environmental and

hydrogeological conditions of the mine s ite as well as the ultimate objectives of the investigations. We

have designed water monitoring programs to monitor surface and groundwater levels and qualities prior

to, during and after mine closure. In addition, MEK environmental scientists have designed and

implemented several surficial soil and water studies to meet specific objectives of our clients. To this end,

we have completed studies to:

1. Establish baseline soi l and water quali ty pr ior to mine sta rt-up operations ;

2. Monitor water quality designed parameters of effluents to ensure that they meet authorized

concentrations for dissolved arsenic, copper, lead, nickel, zinc, cyanide, radium-226, total

suspended solids , pH and toxicity among others ;

3. Determine whether metal mining effluent regulation authorized limits are protecting aquatic life

4. Monitor changes in the physical parameters (water levels, pH, electrical conductivity and redox

potential etc.) of surface water and also shallow and deep groundwater system within the mine

concess ion;

5. Delineate contaminant “hot spots” within the mining concession or in general, the areas under

investigations as the s ituation may warrant.
