The start of 2011 sees a number ofexciting events and activities at Medway’slibraries. I’m delighted to see a vibrantjungle theme for this season’s familyevents. This will really capture children’simaginations, but it doesn’t stop there. There’s an enormous amount on offer foradults too: computer courses; readinggroups; creative writing workshops; talksand exhibitions, to name but a few. There’s always an interesting array ofevents and activities to take part in.
It’s clear that Medway’s libraries are somuch more than books. We also have anextensive range of entertainment. FromDVDs and Blu-rays to Xbox and Wii games,as well as free to use computers withinternet access and of course, thousands ofbooks including the latest titles.
With something for all age groups, thelibraries are a great place for everyone.Whether you’re building on existinginterests and developing your skills, orgetting involved in somethingcompletely new, Medway’s librariescertainly are inspiring.
We understand that leisure time can beseen as an extra expense but we aim toprovide you with affordable, and oftenfree of charge, activities so that everyonecan benefit from their local library.
