Press or click- Launch Supply- from the OptiFlex Launcher Login screen is now displayed

Type in a valid User Name and Password Press or Click- OK

Use of the MS module begins with the selection of a patient or a room for issuing items

Scan Patient Barcode OR select Patient by typing in Last Name Be sure you have selected the CORRECT Patient Account ID

From the Select Patient or Find Patient screen, type in at least the first two letters of the temporary patient’s name

Press or Click Add Temp Patient Type in the Temporary patients information. First AND Last name fields are required Press or Click Ok

Scan the Barcodes of the Items you are using Adjust quantities as needed by:

◦ Scanning the Barcode again ◦ Or by selecting the item on the screen and adjusting the quantity in the edit quantity screen

Select Done with Patient Select Log Off

Select a patient The Patient Issues screen is displayed

Press Review/Credit Issues The Patient Issue Activity screen is displayed

Select an item to be credited The credit window is displayed

Adjust quantity as needed Select “Save Credited Quantity” Select Return to Issues Select Done with Patient Select Log off

Log in by typing in User ID or by scanning your OptiFlex barcode Select “Floor Charge” Scan the barcodes of the supplies you are taking Adjust quantities as needed Select Done with Patient Select Log off

Log in by scanning your OptiFlex barcode or by typing in your User ID Select the room you wish to issue to Scan the barcodes of the supplies you are taking Adjust the quantities as needed Select Done with Patient

The patient room will be outlined in Red

Select Log off

Log in by scanning your OptiFlex barcode or typing in your User ID Select the “Empty Room” that has supplies issued to it Select “Transfer Empty Room Charges”

The patient room is now outlined in Green Select the Patient or Room you wish to transfer to Select Yes to confirm or No to cancel Select Patient or Room to validate issues Select Done with Patient Select Log off

Select a patient Press or click Total Touch

A screen of categories will display

Select a category Items in the category are displayed

Select an item To increment the count- Press or click the item again

Select the temp. patients name The patient issues screen is displayed

Press or click Review/Credit issues Press Reconcile Temporary Patient Select the active patient for whom to transfer the temp patients

transactions A confirmation prompt is displayed

Press or click Yes The system returns to the patient selection screen

Type in User ID and existing password first Press or click Change Password

The Change Password window is displayed Type in the new password twice Press or click Ok
