Our stylistic influences are Don’t stop the music by Rihanna and Spotlight by Jennifer Hudson. We have chosen these two music videos as our examples because, we want to film our music video in a club. And we like the idea of having people dancing in the club and the performers interacting with the environment. Along with the idea of having the performer sitting down singing on a sofa in the club (in the foreground of the shot) with people dancing in the background.

Our target audience is teens-20’s-30 who listen to R n B / hip hop.

Our aim to use as many interesting shots as possible, so as to grab our audiences’ attention.

We will have quick cuts and mixed shots and close ups to emphasize lip synching.

We will have may different locations as well our main location, this will hopefully keep the audience hooked.

We were thinking about going for a sexy but sophisticated style. We will combine smart and casual in a way that will make our video tasteful. We hope to make the shots appear more natural and less controlled so we are going to use a real clubbing environment rather than obvious and scripted armature performers. With this in mind we went ahead and asked the owners for permission to film in our designated areas and they approved. Another that we have in mind is the London underground tube train since we may not be authorised to use this location our plan is to do our filming at the end of the train at the first station.

We intend to do our filming in a local pub which has the stylistic look of a club. We now have the permission to film in 1 of our planned locations (the pub). We also plan to use the underground train, if we don’t get the permission to film here we will just use a normal national express train. Other locations include London night life and general clubbing shots. The costumes our performers are wearing are glamorous evening wear.

We don’t particularly have a narrative structure in mind, because our stylistic influences don’t necessarily follow a narrative structure. So we are heading towards the idea of varied mixture of shots which connect together but, leading to the main shot. We are doing this to create a more attractive video, which will keep our audience hooked.

There are two female performers in the song and we intend to star as the female singers. We also need to find a male performer to stand in as the male singer. We also need alot of extras for the club scenes and also have asked a local barmaid to star in the music video, who works in the club which we intend to film in.

We will hire a stripper to star in our clubbing scenes.

The USP of our production is our choice of locations and our creative shots. The young performers and our choice of costumes will also contribute to our USP. This will give us the chance to demonstrate our creativity and our filming and editing skills, this will show our improvement from our previous music video and the new skills that we will learn and we will attempt to experiment with special effects.
