Name: ______________________ Homework #4 N220 Spring 2015 Immunity Make a one sheet combined concept map of the relationship of innate immunity, specific immunity, and inflammatory responses. Use Khan Academy’s lecture to draw. This video will replace reading the chapters on Immunity and Inflammation. This will provide the background that will lead us to the problems associated with immunity and inflammation. You should have three big areas 1) Nonspecific immunity 2) Specific immunity , and 3) Inflammatory immunity at the tissue level. When you watch Khan Academy videos, take notes and draw your own chart. If you are stuck, you can copy what he did. I need to make sure that you understand how immunity works. (This is the foundation for immune response that will be used in Jr 2. I want you to have your own map .) I suggest doing it by hand neatly will be fine, rather than trying to navigate how to make a chart/ concept map look pretty. You are on the right track if you are including neutrophils, B memory, antibodies, T helper, CD4, CD8, MHC I, MHC 2, chemotaxis, classic s/sx of inflammation, vascular permeability, neutrophil migration, etc, etc. Immune System: Innate and Adaptive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp7T4IItbtM&feature=fvwrel Role of Phagocytes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1N2rENXq_Y&feature=relmfu B Cells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z36dUduOk1Y&feature=related Helper T cells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwMYpTYsNZM&feature=relmfu

This video will replace reading the chapters on Immunity and Inflammation. This will provide the background that will lead us to the problems associated with immunity and inflammation.
