    You will learn about our educationally sound CommonCore Curriculum- make sure you check out our newHoughton Mifflin reading series: 2014 Journeys-thank you Medford!

    We will also pilot Houghton Mifflin Harcourt's mathprogram GO Math!

    You will hear information from your child's teacherabout classroom expectations. Please remember thatindividual questions will not be addressed but feel freeto roam the building and talk with all the specialists.

    ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL PROCEDUREIfyour child is old enough, please consider a drop and go strategy.

    Pull up and pull over to the curb. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THEREWILL BE TWO LINES OF TRAFFIC. This area is heavily used and drop-off should be as quick as possible.

    PLEASE PULL INTO THE FIRST AVAILABLE SPOT!Otherwise, we ask that you park at Hormel Stadium.

    A few housekeeping items:School Hours

    Drop off at 8:15AM School begins at 8:35 AM

    Dismissal

    Wednesdays - 1:30 PM

    M, T, TH, F - 2:35 PM

    Please turn off your engine young lungs at work!

    Dos and Donts

    A signed note from theparent/guardian is required following astudents absence from school.

    Please call themain office each daythat your child is out.

    Please call the school nurse if astudent has been absent for 3 days.

    If the student is out for longer than 5days, a physicians note is requestedbefore the student may return toschool.

    If a student needs to be dismissed prior tothe end of the school day, a signed notefrom the parent/guardian should be broughtin to school and given to the classroomteacher.

    For early dismissal/sickness, theparent/guardian is required to come to the

    Main Office and sign the child out.

    First point of contact will be with theteacher if there is problem/issue with yourchild. Please dont call the principal orassistant principal unless you have alreadyspoken to the teacher.

    Dont Take a vacation during school time.Frequent absences negatively impactinstruction. Family vacations should bescheduled when school is not in session.
