MCE: Helping to Create the Workforce of Tomorrow
As a manufacturing leader in your industry, the Menomonee Falls Chamber of Commerce, Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce, and Sussex Area Chamber of Commerce, welcome your participation in and/or sponsorship of the tenth annual Manufacturing Career Expo (MCE) being held October 24 & 25, 2018.
Locally hosted at Washington County Fair Park & Conference Center, this event will bring together local manufacturers, high school and middle school students, as well as educators and parents, to raise awareness of the career opportunities available in the local manufacturing industry. Student Attendance: Since the MCE’s beginning in 2009, we have welcomed over 5,600 students, educators and parents to the Expo. With your support and in coordination with the Menomonee Falls, Hamilton and Germantown School Districts, as well as several area technical colleges, we are working toward attendance by over 1,000 students this year. Invitations to attend have been sent to every high school in Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee and Milwaukee counties, plus several local home school organizations. Scholarships: To date, over $25,500 has been raised! Each year, a portion of the proceeds from the MCE are dedicated to funding education scholarships. These funds, along with corporate MCE scholarship contributions, are distributed to graduating seniors from each of the chamber partnership school districts. It is the hope of the MCE, that one day, a scholarship recipient will come full circle and establish a career with a local manufacturer. With your partnership we can provide the opportunity to make that happen.
