Project History

1994: TMACOG & the Lucas County Engineers

Office identified the rail crossing at McCord

Road as a safety and congestion concern.

Estimated 100 trains per day

Both Train and vehicle traffic are projected to

increase.

State Railroad Grade Separation Funding

became available: Lucas County Engineers

office and TMACOG applied.

A project to construct an underpass at McCord

Road and the Norfolk-Southern railroad track

Build a roundabout at North Mall Drive/Hall

Street.

Prime Contractor: Beaver Excavating

Project Cost: $24.3 Million

Start: August 4, 2014

• The pump station construction will begin
