Mail From God?
When you get your mail, what do you open first, the printed enve-lope addressed to Current Occu-pant, the last person who lived at this address, or the handwritten en-velope addressed to you? Chances are, you eagerly open the handwrit-ten envelope first, because you know it’s for you. It’s important, very likely personal. God personally addresses a “letter” to each of us in His Holy Word. He repeatedly, consistently, passionately, invites us to open it, read it, soak it up and then apply to our everyday life. He uses this Holy Word of His to deliver Good News, really Good News, to us! He tells us unmistakably that Jesus has won the victory in the life and death bat-tle over sin for us! He makes it clear that our world, our flesh, and the evil one infect each one of us personally. God makes Himself personal to us by assuring us of His presence wherever we find our-selves, whether living happily and at ease or bur-dened by need and hardship. Through the Holy Spirit He remains the fount of faith for all of us fol-lowers of Christ. This same Spirit moves us as we use our personal talents, gifts, resources, and op-portunities to serve God and others with an ever growing joy and gratitude. We have that specific opportunity/challenge in our brand new R & C Plan For 2015! Yes, last year our Lord privileged us with our 75th Anniversary at Trinity – “Now to Him Who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”(Ephesians 3:20-21). We spent and used 2014 “To His Glory…for all generations.” And, God the Holy Spirit moved us to worship Him with “Thank offerings,” church attendance and more to new high levels!
He now gives us 2015 to “do even far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us!” It’s a new day, a new year, a fresh ‘go’ at using His gifts He showers so plentifully into our lives, and talents and worship oppor-tunities to an even higher degree. Why? To “Give Him Glory,” and to reach more of the many lost souls who have not gotten their “Mail From God!” Like a handwritten letter from a loving Father to a beloved child, God’s Word comes to each believer through our offering-gifts. It’s His personal message of mercy, love and compassion that forgives sins and opens heaven’s door through His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord! Let’s read it and share it as we move to new heights in managing His gifts even more generously!
In Christ,
Pastor
Honoring Mothers Is
An Excellent Idea!
Christian mothers are ex-ceptional gifts from God! He created them. He made motherhood a holy office, just
as He did with fatherhood. It is His way of molding and nourishing the family. Our Lord Jesus Himself brought His life into the family unit with a father and mother. He grew in that holy and ordained setting. We thank Him for this mercy. We thank Him for Christian moth-ers and fathers. And, on this Mother’s Day at Trinity, we will once again honor each mother in our worship service with a special word of thanks and a token gift of a beautiful red rose, a symbol of life. Remember Mother’s Day worship on May 10th and worship with this special person God has
placed into your life…and brought you into this world!
Trinity Vacation Bible
School – Aug 10-14
I know, that may seem like a long time away yet, but do you remem-
ber the laser speed of last summer? Don’t expect 2015 summer to be any different or slower. Put it on your calendar today so you won’t be so shocked in August.
Your Participation/Service Oppor-
tunity
Our Trinity 2015 Nominations Committee will be thinking and praying about folks to con-tact during the month of April for serving the Lord in various ways here at Trinity Lutheran Church. Please think about how our Lord can use your talents and time to His glory. Thank you.
Church Spring Cleaning Day is…
Saturday, May 16th 10-2:00, and it’s time for anybody and everybody to jump in and help spruce up our House of God inside and out! Even if you can only come for an hour or so, you and your efforts will be appreciated. “The more the merrier,” AND the quicker we get done!
Our Trinity Youth &
Friends to Noah’s Ark!
Ah, yes good old summer time. It’s a time to do something different; to be with friends and enjoy God’s great out of doors! What better place to do that than at Noah’s Ark! Fri. June 19th 7:00 to 7:00. Did you write that down or enter it in your phone? You better, or you just might forget.
Brighten their day, show them you care, with a
call, a visit, a card, and your prayers!

Garden For 2015
We are thinking that winter may be nearing its end for this year. That means it’s about time to break out the hoes,
rakes, shovels, seeds, plants, grubby clothes and elbow grease to ready the soil for another productive season. As in the past, garden spots will be available to members who would like to give this spring and summer another run at it. Watch this spot and the Sunday An-nouncement Page for more news.
Gloria Dei Celebrates Pastor’s 40th
!
The officers and members of Gloria Dei Evan-gelical Lutheran Church are planning a sur-prise celebration for Rev. Bill Wagner, in honor of his 10 years in the Lutheran teaching minis-try and 40 years in pastoral ministry. A special worship service will be held a guest Pastor and other festivities May 3, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the church (428 Walworth St. Lake Geneva WI). Folks from the area are invited.
Our Congregation’s Purpose
We are called to effectively and creatively proclaim the Word of God so that people in Beloit and the Stateline community will:
Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; Confess the Orthodox Faith of His Church;
Commit themselves to the weekly use of the Lord’s Supper;
Serve Him in His Kingdom. Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
is an evangelical and confessional community founded on the principles of the Lutheran Ref-
ormation confessed in the Augsburg Confession, 1530.
Our WGEZ Radio Broadcasts Are

A BIG THANK YOU From Our Youth
Our young people of the congregation and their friends thank all of you who remembered and were able to come to their annual Ital-ian House Catered Spaghetti
Dinner on the 18th. Your support of our Youth Ministry at Trinity is always appreciated. We thank you and hope you had a very pleasant dining experience, fine food and fellowship.

Answer To T/F Statement For
Stronger Faith True. Only The Lutheran Church believes in and teaches the doctrine of the Divine Call. We believe and teach that the movement of a pastor from one congregation is a Divine decision of God and not of man. We believe the Holy Spirit guides a congregation to choosing the individual to Call to be its pas-tor. The Holy Spirit then guides the pastor as he considers two Calls, the one of the pre-sent congregation he serves and the one calling him to become its pastor. In all other churches the movement of clergy from one place to the other is a decision of the hierar-chy of the denomination and or just viewed as a common hiring as in the secular world.

The Strong Women Program was
developed by Miriam Nelson, PhD,
an Associate professor at the Ge-
rald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman
School of Nutrition Science and
Policy at Tufts University. The
Strong Women Program is based upon years
of research on how strength training and
proper nutrition improve the health of women
of all ages. “Strength is a critical factor in living
healthier, more active lives. Our research
shows that a program of strength training not
only improves bone density but reduces falls,
improves arthritis symptoms, and increases
flexibility , strength and balance,” states Dr.
Nelson. The program is appropriate for both
sedentary and very active women , middle
aged and older women.
Pilates Building core muscles, flexibility

T We Worshipped While Away Slip T
In today’s world people are on the go more
often than in the past. This also means
church members are traveling at times as
well. It is important to receive God’s bless-
ings through His Word and Sacrament
regularly and even if away from home. We
are grateful that the Lord has given us
many LCMS congregations through out the
country and the world. We can then wor-
ship with fellow LCMS folks in many differ-
ent places. If you would be so kind as to fill
our “Worshipped While Away” card and put
it in the offering plate or give it to Pastor
we would be very grateful. It is good tool to
help us keep our soul-accounting accurate
and for members
to share where
they have met
and worshipped
with fellow Lu-
therans.
