from the association PEOPLE & EVENTS ANNOUNCEMENTS Latest CADE Accreditation Decisions Published Online The Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) is ADA’s accrediting agency for education pro- grams preparing students for careers as Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians, Registered. CADE es- tablishes and enforces eligibility re- quirements and accreditation stan- dards that ensure the quality and continued improvement of nutrition and dietetics education programs. The accreditation decisions made at the most recent CADE meeting are available at http://www.eatright.org/ CADE/content.aspx?id7829 and in- clude status of programs which have received candidacy for accreditation, full accreditation, probationary ac- creditation, and withdrawal from accreditation. CADE Invites Program Accreditation Input Accredited dietetics education pro- grams are periodically reviewed to ensure they uphold the standards set forth by the Commission on Accredi- tation for Dietetics Education. Part of the program review process is the consideration of third-party input on a program’s practices, procedures, and educational outcomes. Members with concern as to a program’s com- pliance with the standards are en- couraged to forward their comments to CADE. A list of programs under review for candidacy or full accredita- tion and a corresponding site visit schedule is available at http://www. eatright.org/cade/programsunderreview. aspx.
