Very goal-oriented, keeping the big picture and long view in mind; determined & motivated Technically inclined Highly comfortable in a team environment Friendly, approachable, working well w/ peers & superiors alike with certain respect for ordered authority structure Innovative & creative Kiersey Temperament: ENTJ/ESTJ (borderline) Strengths Finder 2.0 Top Five (as of April 2011): Activator, Communication, Woo, Input, & Ideation
Employment:
October 2006 – Current: K&N Engineering Positions held (in order): Designer, Process Development Engineer, OEM Product Development Engineer, AEM Product
Development Engineer, Core Product Development Engineer Responsibilities: I design various performance air intake systems & components for a variety of manufacturing processes
including urethane injection molding, rotational molding, sheet metal fabrication, metal tube forming, spinning, machining, & additive methods. These components include air filters & molds, composite parts & tooling, stress-strain performance tests and procedures for materials & finished goods, product packaging for demanding OEM customers, & experimental rapid prototype injection mold tooling. I manage various other special projects. I have carried products through a demanding Production Part Approval Process including Design Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PPAP, DFMEA). I am also the sole user entrusted with the use of computational fluid dynamics & static FEA simulation tools to optimize product design & troubleshoot.
Significant accomplishments: I researched & implemented a new process for designing product by introducing 3D data capture via laser scanning which vastly improved the range of capability of product design to fit its implementation by designing in a digital environment where the benefits of simulation & rapid prototyping are multiplied.
February 2005 – October 2006: UC Riverside College of Engineering Center for Environmental Research & Technology (CE-CERT)
Position: Student Intern for the Mobile Diesel Emission Laboratory Responsibilities: I assisted lab engineers with test data analysis, setting up/tearing down test sites, running tests,
fabrication, purchasing, some research, & more. Reason for Leaving: I was offered work at K&N Engineering (desired industry).
July 2003 – February 2005: MTS Hardware & Woodworker Supplies
Position: Warehouse Supervisor/ Inventory Manager Responsibilities: I ensured all orders entered & left the warehouse properly, including UPS shipments, will-calls, & in-
