MCD provides the tools, knowledge, skills and critical analytical ways of

thinking, to analyze, interpret and approach issues of cultural diversity!

And with the means to design strategies and interventions to deal with these

issues based on this analysis and understanding, taking into account social

and societal responsibility.

These tools will enable students to perform their future profession in an

independent way and at an academic level!

Police, ethnic identity and diversity management In which moments do police officers with various backgrounds identify each other as members of ethnic groups instead of as colleagues, what are the consequences of such ethnic identification and how does police management try to deal with these consequences?

Affirmed identities? What is the continuous role of racial identity in interactions between middle managers in a South African mine and how are these racial identifications affected by Affirmative Action Legislation? Do we need to care about cultural diversity in health care? What are the various expectations that patients with culturally diverse backgrounds have of the care they receive in a hospital and how are doctors, nurses and managers dealing with these diverse expectations?

You have a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as general

Humanities, Social Sciences, Anthropology, Sociology, Linguistics, Religion Studies,

Political Sciences, Business Studies, Organization Studies, Communication and

Information Studies, Cross-Cultural Psychology or Human Resource Studies. In case

you have a different educational background, please ask our advise before you apply!

An adequate knowledge of English is required.

Academic IELTS (min. 6.5 overall/6.0 on parts)

TOEFL (min. paper-based: 577, computer-based: 233, internet-based: 90)

An adequate knowledge of research methodology, since this forms an important

part of the program
