Political, Economic and Financial components. In times of uncertainty and complexity for the

international businesses and investments, CRA is becoming a strategic tool in the decision making

This course explores the topic of International Economics and Globalization from both a Macroeconomic perspective (looking at the

The course will cover the how tax is used to fund government expenditure. It will cover the different types of taxes that are levied by

governments and how the effect of taxation can encourage companies to establish subsidiaries in countries that offer favourable tax

regimes or discourage companies in companies that have unfavorable tax regimes.

INTERNATIONAL TAXATION

By the end of the course students will understand the different types of taxes(on earned and unearned income, profits, capital gains,

witholding etc.) and the impact they have on business/company decisions. They will understand the signicant impact that taxes can have on

net income and how to make business decisions taking account of the impact of taxes in a country and worldwide.

Ce cours est une présentation du référentiels IAS/IFRS pour non spécialistes. Dans une première partie, il est évoqué les raisons de

l'harmonisation internationale des normes, compte tenu des différences importantes dans les systèmes comptables nationaux. Il est

également présenté l'IASB, l'organisme de normalisation internationale, et le cadre conceptuel auquel il se réfère. Dans une deuxième

partie, plus partique, les étudiants, apprennent à rechercher des informations dans les comptes IFRS d'un grand groupe, en prenant pour

application la norme IAS 38, relative aux immobilisations incorporelle (marques, brevets, logiciels...goodwvill).

The course is aimed at increasing students' awareness of the importance of the European Union institutions and legal system for

international business and trade. After a first theoretical section dedicated to the history of the European Union and its institutions, the

course will provide a more practical insight on the funding opportunities provided by the Union and its lobbying mechanisms. As an

integral part of the course, a scenario will be defined and the students will be requested to develop a lobbying strategy within it.
