We also provide a study assistance benefit, through Studymaster, for their children in grades 1 to 12 while they are active members of the scheme.

• The Family Assistance Benefit which provides a 24/7 invaluable support to members during traumatic life events. At times like these, bereaved families or trauma victims need a helping hand to guide them. Cover is provided within the borders of South Africa, except for the repatriation of mortal remains which extends beyond South Africa in a number of African countries. This service includes a funeral assistance service, trauma and assault support, emergency medical services, legal assistance and bereavement counselling.

Momentum Retirement Administrators, a trusted partner to standalone funds, focuses on each member’s journey to financial success. We do this through excellent service, meaningful engagement and appropriate solutions.

We offer a wide range of different risk-profiled portfolios and underlying asset classes to choose from. A standalone retirement fund can use any portfolio, any combination of portfolios or combination of asset classes to construct their default investment portfolio.

If the trustees of standalone funds select Momentum’s Golden Income With-Profit Annuity or Golden Living Annuity as their annuity strategy, members of their retirement fund will have access to a professional benefit counselling service called Smart Counsel.

Our research with members showed that they needed the most support when becoming ill or disabled. To answer this need, we established the Wellness Care Centre, with its own medical, forensic, legal, and technical capability. Disability claimants have access to a personal disability case manager who deals with them throughout their journey.

Many members who become disabled want access to rehabilitation and reskilling. To help your employees with this, our Wellness Care Centre has partnered with an employment agency that specialises in upskilling and placement of disabled employees.

PreservationHelp members increase their probability of retiring comfortably and being financially independent during retirement, they can preserve their retirement savings when changing jobs.

They can do so by preserving their retirement savings in the Momentum Corporate Preservation Fund. Preservation fund members will still get Multiply Starter and Hello Doctor at no additional cost. Reducing the direct and indirect costs of disability.

New generation smooth bonus investingThe Momentum Smooth-Edge Fund is a new generation smooth bonus investment solution, offering a low-cost, 100% capital guarantee on benefit payments. In addition, on average 50% of bonuses are guaranteed on benefit payments.

Not only does this investment solution offer members inflation-beating investment return prospects and protection from market volatility, but the significantly lower capital charge means more money goes directly to members’ retirement savings to bolster their retirement outcomes.

Outcomes-based investing (OBI) Most of our market-linked investment portfolios are managed according to the OBI philosophy. This philosophy targets a specific return over a chosen period and defines risk as the likelihood that the investment portfolio won’t deliver the return its targeting. The right solution for your pensionersDoes your annuity strategy need the right annuity? Momentum Corporate offers two excellent options.

• The Golden Income With-Profit Annuity provides the security of a guaranteed income for life. In addition, annuity increases are declared every year. Once an increase is granted it will never be taken away. The new higher amount is guaranteed for the rest of the pensioner’s life.

• The Golden Living Annuity gives pensioners a regular retirement income based on the returns of a market-linked investment portfolio. A portion is withdrawn from their retirement savings each month to pay them a regular income. • Multiply is a leading rewards programme that guides, motivates and rewards members for taking everyday steps to enhance their financial and overall wellbeing. Multiply Starter membership is free with certain solutions. Members can also upgrade to Multiply Premier for an additional fee. FundsAtWork members on Multiply Premier who register for EmployeeReturns can earn financial rewards. These rewards can be used to boost their retirement savings, or can be paid into their Momentum HealthSaver or Multiply Money wallet to buy a range of exciting products.

• Members who download the Hello Doctor app have free access to professional health advice from qualified medical doctors anytime, anywhere through their phone, tablet or computer. This means less time in the waiting room and more time at work.

The Momentum Umbrella Beneficiary FundTrustees can place the death benefits for the minor children of a deceased member in the Momentum Umbrella Beneficiary Fund. These benefits are then professionally and prudently managed, with payments made towards the minor child’s educational costs and general living expenses. No tax is paid in the Fund. Any payment, whether capital or income, is tax-free.

This protects the benefits if the guardian or caregiver changes. The guardian or caregiver is also relieved of the burden of managing and investing the benefit.

Pay for your employee wellness initiatives with rewards We reward progressive employers who take good care of their employees. All employers with qualifying FundsAtWork, Group Insurance and health solutions can join Multiply for Corporates.

If you register with Multiply for Corporates you receive financial rewards which can be invested in initiatives that improve your employees’ wellbeing.
